Fig Tarts

3 cups sugar
3/4 lb margarine
3 eggs
1 cup evaporated milk
8 cups flour
6 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1 tbs vanilla
figs

Beat margarine with sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and milk. Add flour, baking powder, soda, and vanilla. Mix equal amounts of flour and sugar to roll out pastry (one cup sugar and one cup flour). After rolling, place figs in center, fold and place in 375F oven until cooked.

Note:
Your favorite pie filling can be substituted for figs.
