Peach Cobbler 8

3 tbs Packed Brown Sugar
3 tbs Cornstarch
1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1 Pinch Salt
One 29 oz Can Sliced In Syrup Peaches
1 tbs Lemon Juice
2 tbs Margarine or Butter
1 cup Butter Milk Biscuit Mix
1/3 cup Milk
2 tbs Packed Brown Sugar
2 tbs Finely Chopped Walnuts

*** Range Top: 23 Minutes cooking time. Combine 3 tbs brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt in 10-inch skillet. Stir in undrained peaches, lemon juice and butter. Cook over low heat 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Keep warm. Combine biscuit mix and milk in bowl. Mix just until moistened. Drop dumplings by tablespoonfuls over hot peach mixture. Combine remaining 2 tbs brown sugar and walnuts. Sprinkle over dumplings. Cook over low heat, uncovered, 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 minutes more or until dumplings are fluffy.

*** Microwave Oven: (HIGH SETTING) 17 Minutes cooking time. Use ingredients listed in basic recipe. Combine 3 tbs brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt in 8-inch square glass baking dish. Stir in undrained peaches, lemon juice and butter. Microwave (high setting) 11 minutes, stirring after first 6 minutes, then after every 2 minutes. Mixture should be thickened and bubbly. Combine biscuit mix and milk in bowl. Mix just until moistened. Drop mixture by tablespoonfuls over hot peach mixture. Combine remaining 2 tbs brown sugar and walnuts. Sprinkle over dumplings. Microwave 6 minutes or until dumplings are fluffy, giving dish a half-turn after 3 minutes.
