Punch Bowl Cake 2

2 layers yellow cake
1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
3 cups Vanilla pudding
1 pint strawberries, sliced, frozen ok
40 large bananas, sliced
1 large can cherry pie filling
1 large tub Cool Whip

Break up 1 layer of cake in bottom of bowl. Spread strawberries in layer over pudding, saving some for garnish. Go around edge of layer with slices of strawberries, standing up. Nest layer of sliced bananas, same as berries, saving some for garnish. The next layer is the second layer of cake broken up and spread evenly over the bananas. If bowl is deep enough, another layer of bananas and strawberries may be added. Pour cherry pie filling over cake. Finish with cool Whip and garnish with remaining strawberries. Place in refrigerator or cooler for approximately 3 hours.
