Boil water, margarine, Crisco. Mix sugar, cocoa together, then add flour, and mix well. Add boiling mixture to dry ingredients. To 1/2 cup buttermilk, add soda and vanilla and mix well. Add to above ingredients along with flavoring, Bake in glass pan at 250F for 30 to 35 minutes, until done.
Icing:
Whip margarine until fluffy. Add cocoa, vanilla powdered sugar and milk, then add chopped pecans. Ice cake while still warm.
