Easy Angel Food Cake

8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
16-ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 angel food cake
20-ounce can cherry filling

Beat cream cheese and gradually add sweetened condensed milk, then whipped topping. Beat until smooth. Stir in vanilla. Break cake into small pieces, put layer of broken pieces in a 9 x 13 inch pan or casserole dish. Spread layer of cream cheese mixture over cake pieces then spread layer of pie filling over cheese mixture. Garnish with dollops of whipped cream. Sprinkle with nuts, if desired. Refrigerate overnight.
