Mix cake mix according to directions on box. Pour 1/2 batter into greased pan (9x13 inch oblong). Bake for 20 minutes at 350F. Melt caramels with margarine and milk. Poke holes in cake. Pour mixture over hot baked cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped nuts over caramels. Pour rest of cake mix on top and bake 20 minutes at 250F degrees, then bake 10 minutes at 350F. Cool before cutting. Frost with any chocolate frosting or use whipped topping.
