Corn Chowder 2

1 inch slice salt pork, cubed or ham
1 onion, chopped
4 med. potatoes, cubed
1 qt. milk
2 tbsp. onion tops, minced
2 cup fresh or canned corn
Salt and pepper

Fry salt port until crisp. Drain on brown paper. Saute onion until tender, then add 2 cups boiling water and potatoes. When potatoes are soft, add milk and corn. Season with salt and pepper. Before serving, sprinkle with onion tops and salt pork pieces.

Serves about 6 people
