Chicken Tamale Pie

Filling:
2 small fryers
2 onions, chopped
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup flour
1-1/2 cans diced tomatoes
1 No. 2 can sliced ripe olives
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon hot sauce

Batter:
1 cup yellow corn meal
1/4 lb. butter
2 tablespoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups milk

Boil chickens; cool, debone, and cut up. Saute onions in olive oil 1/2 hour. Stir in flour, tomatoes, and olives. Add chicken and seasoning. Cook together until well mixed. Spread in shallow baking pans. Mix batter ingredients, pour over filling. Bake 45 minutes at 350F.
