Meat and Potato Pie

2 lbs lean beef, cubed
2 medium onions, grated
3 medium potatoes, sliced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons shortening
1 cup self-rising flour
2 tablespoons cold water

Boil meat until almost done; drain, reserving broth. Place alternate layers of meat, onions, and potatoes in a deep casserole dish. Add Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Pour meat broth over casserole. Cut shortening into flour. Add cold water; mix as for pie crust. Place crust over casserole. Bake at 325F until tender and golden brown.
