Ham Loaves with Sweet and Sour Sauce

5 pounds ham, ground
2 pounds pork, ground
1 large chopped bell pepper
5 eggs, well beaten
2-1/2 cups milk
10 slices bread, made into bread crumbs (or purchase the equivalent amount of bread crumbs)
Sweet and Sour Sauce:
1-1/4 cups vinegar
1-1/2 cups water
2-1/2 cups brown sugar
5 tablespoons mustard

Preheat oven to 350F. Mix ham, pork, chopped bell pepper, beaten eggs, milk and bread crumbs. Divide meat into 2 parts. Place meat in a large baking pan and pat into loaves.

Sauce:
Mix vinegar, water, brown sugar, and mustard. Blend well and pour over ham loaves. Bake 2 hours, after it has cooked one hour, baste every few minutes for the last hour.

Serves 10.
