Skiers Chili

- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 bay leaves
- 3 pounds ground beef
- 4 bell peppers, chopped
- 4 onions, chopped
- 1 16-ounce bottle chil1 sauce
- 1 quart tomato puree
- Two 16-ounce cans kidney beans
Saute ground meat with onions and bell peppers until brown. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour. When serving, place grated or shredded Cheddar cheese on top.
