Pasta Pastitso 2

2 pounds ground chuck
16 ounce can tomato paste
4 whole eggs
5 egg yolks
2 cups Romano cheese, divided
3 cups milk
1 pound penne or macaroni pasta
1/2 pound butter
1/2 cup flour
3/4 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons Konriko spice
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 cup water

Preheat oven to 375F. Brown meat and onion. Drain. Add salt, spices, tomato paste and water. Cook 20 minutes, then add 1 beaten egg into mixture. Set aside. Cook macaroni 8 minutes. Toss with 3 beaten eggs and 1-3/4 cups Romano cheese. Melt 1/4 pound butter, add flour. Mix, add milk. Cook until thick, add 5 beaten egg yolks and blend into sauce, add 1/4 cup Romano cheese. Butter a 10 x 14 inch pan. Put 1/2 of pasta mix in pan, then put meat mixture over pasta. Put white sauce over that. Bake at 375F for 45 minutes.
