Lightened Braunschweiger Pate

1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 green onion, chopped
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
4 oz Braunschweiger or liver sausage
1/2 tsp grated orange rind
Chopped tomato, cucumber, grated carrot for garnish
Romain leaves, cucumber slices, carrot slices, celery sticks

Place sliced mushrooms and green onion in microwave-safe dish; cover with waxed paper and microwave at HIGH 2 minutes, stirring once. Place with almonds in blender cover and process until blended. Add Braunschweiger and orange rind; cover and process until soothe. Spoon into plastic wrap-lined 8 oz margarine container or small bowl. Cover and refrigerator overnight. Un-mold, remove plastic wrap and decorate with tomato, cucumber and carrot. serve with Romaine leaves, cucumber and carrot slices and celery sticks.

Makes about 1 cup
