Golden Corn and Rice Casserole

3 cups cooked rice
1 pkg (10 oz) frozen whole kernel corn, thawed
1/4 cup minced onion
2 cups (8 oz) grated Cheddar cheese
1-1/2 cups milk
1-1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Paprika

Combine all ingredients except paprika. Pour into a buttered, shallow 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350F for 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.

Makes 6 servings.

Serve with meat loaf, barbecue ribs or chicken, baked ham.

Microwave method:
Combine all ingredients except paprika. Pour into a buttered, shallow 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with paprika. Cook, uncovered on HIGH (maximum power) 10 to 12 minutes, or until knife inserted near center comes out clean, rotating dish 1/4 turn every 3 minutes.
