Ginger Snaps

2 cups Sifted Flour
1 tbs Ginger
2 tsp Soda
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Salt
3/4 cup Solid Shortening
1 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 cup Molasses Syrup

*** Sift together; flour, ginger, soda, cinnamon, salt. Cream; shortening, sugar, mix above together and add egg, cup molasses. Shape 1 tsp of dough into small balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Bake immediately or freeze and bake as needed. To bake: place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet, and bake @ 350F for 12 to 15 minutes.

Yield: 4 to 5 Dozen.
