Scarecrow Cake

Cake:
1 box Duncan Hines plain cake
2 teaspoons flavoring of choice
Icing:
2 lbs. powdered sugar (sifted)
1 cup white shortening
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water

Bake cake according to directions in a large pan. Cool, cut and shape into scarecrow figure.

Cream shortening, salt and flavoring until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar a box at a time, with 1/4 cup of water. Blend well after each addition, (This will make too much for this certain cake, but you can cut it in half.) Frost and decorate like scarecrow.
