Strawberry Torte

1/4 cup firmly packed brown
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup finely ground pecans
1 box frozen sliced strawberries (10-ounce)
One 3-ounce box strawberry Jell-O
1 cup hot water
One 8-ounce package cream cheese (room temperature)
1 envelope Dream Whip (prepared)
1/2 cup sugar

Utensils: glass pan, 9 x 13 inch

Preheat oven to 350F. Cream brown sugar and margarine together. Add flour and nuts. Blend well. Spray 9 x l3 inch glass baking dish with vegetable spray or grease with shortening. Press dough evenly into dish including sides. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes, Cool Completely. Prepare Jell-O in water. Put thawed strawberries in Jell-O. Stir. Place in refrigerator or freezer for a few minutes, until partially set, stirring occasionally. Blend cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in Dream Whip. Spread over cooled crust. Spread strawberry mixture over cream cheese. Refrigerate. Cut into squares to serve.
