Fig Cake 2

2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter milk
1-1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 quart fig preserves
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup orange marmalade
1/4 cup hot water

Preheat oven to 350F. Add eggs to melted margarine. Stir baking soda into buttermilk. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and spices. Alternately add buttermilk and flour mixtures, into batter. Add vanilla and mix. Blend in preserves and pecans. Pour into a greased tube or bundt pan. Bake 70 minutes. Remove from pan.

In a small bowl, combine orange marmalade and hot water. Stir until well mixed. Drizzle over fig cake.
