Pineapple Cake 1

2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
One No, 2 can crushed pineapple
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 stick butter or margarine (1/4 lb)
1 small can Pet milk
1 cup sugar
1 can coconut or 1 cup pecans, chopped

Preheat oven at 350 F. Beat eggs and sugar together in medium bowl. Mix soda with flour in another bowl; add alternately with pineapple to egg-sugar mixture. Add vanilla; mix well. Pour into 9 x l2 inch baking pan which has been greased and floured or use Bakers Joy to prepare pan.

For topping, boil butter, milk, and sugar 2 to 3 minutes. Spread over hot cake, Cool.

Serves 12-16.
