Treasure Bran Muffins

One 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
Two 7 oz pkg Martha White Bran Muffin Mix*

Preheat oven to 425F. Grease muffin pans. Blend cream cheese and sugar. Add egg; mix well. In another bowl, prepare bran muffin mix according to package directions. Fill muffin cups 1/4 full with muffin mixture. Spoon 1 teaspoon cream cheese mixture onto muffin mix. Fill muffin cups to 1/2 full with muffin mix. Top with 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture. Bake 15-18 minutes.

Makes about 15 muffins.

* Two pkg Martha White Bran Muffin Mix require 2/3 cup milk and 2 eggs.

Hint:
To quickly soften cream cheese unwrap and place on microwave-safe plate. Microwave on defrost for 2 minutes.
