Pour sugar into pot or kettle. Pour berry juice over sugar. Stir over moderate heat until sugar is melted. Stir in cloves and cinnamon. Increase heat slowly. Bring mixture to a boil. Simmer until sugar is very well melted and syrup is formed. Remove mixture from heat and allow to cool completely. Add brandy. Stir mixture well. Strain through cheesecloth. Bottle and enjoy!
