Ginger Beef Soup

1 pkg. (28 oz.) frozen prepared gravy & sliced beef family entree, thawed
1 pkg. (6 oz.) frozen pea pods
One 8 oz can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1-1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 cup water
1/2 cup apple juice
Chow mein noodles (optional)

In large saucepan, place gravy and sliced beef. Shred beef with fork. Stir in pea pods, water chestnuts, onion, ginger, water and apple juice. Heat to boiling. Simmer, covered, 10 minutes or until hot. Sprinkle noodles on top, if desired.
