Potato Cream Soup

2-1/2 cups well seasoned mashed potatoes
3 cups milk
3 tbs margarine
1/2 grated medium size onion
Few drops hot sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 to 1/2 cup finely chopped ham
2 or 3 tbs grated cheddar cheese

In sauce pan gradually add milk to mashed potatoes, blend. Place over low heat. Heat to boiling, stirring, do not boil. Add margarine and rest of ingredients.
