Chow Mein

Meat
1-1/2 lb Cubed (Round Steak) Beef
1-1/2 lb Cubed Pork
3 Chopped Onions
3 Cans Fancy Chinese Vegetables
1/3 cup Soy Sauce
1 tbs Sugar
8 Cubes Beef Bouillon
1 Can Sliced Water Chestnuts
1 Whole Stalk Chopped Coarse Celery
3 tbs Cornstarch

*** Salt and pepper meat to taste. Brown meat in oil then add onions. Add 4 cups of water to cover and 4 bouillon cubes. Simmer until tender (2 or 3 hours). After tender, add vegetables, chestnuts, mushrooms, 4 bouillon cubes, celery and soy sauce. Thicken with cornstarch and sugar. Cook about 15 minutes. Make a day ahead!
