Cabbage Rolls 1

2 lb ground meat (beef)
1 lb ground pork
1/2 bulb garlic chopped
2 large onions chopped
1/2 ball pepper chopped
1 bunch shallots chopped
2-1/2 cups uncooked rice washed
One 8 oz small can tomato sauce
Two 6 oz small cans tomato pasta
Salt, red pepper, black, pepper, Italian seasoning to taste
Chopped hearts of cabbage
2 large loose leaf (Beef Heart) cabbage

Mix ground meat, ground pork, onions, garlic, bell pepper, shallots, washed rice and 1 can of sauce together. Add salt, red pepper, black pepper, Italian seasoning to taste. Add chopped cabbage hearts.

To prepared ingredients into rolls, loosen and steam cabbage leaves till tender. Roll approximately 4 oz meat mixture within cabbage leaves, seasoning each with salt and pepper. Lay on rack in large heavy pot. Mix 2 cans of paste with hot water, making enough sauce to cover cabbage rolls. Cover and cook on medium fire for about 2 to 2-1/2 hours or until cabbage is tender and rice is cooked.
