Bread and Butter Pickles 2

4 large Cucumbers
1 tsp Tumeric Powder
1/8 tsp Cloves
2 large Onions
1/2 Bell Pepper
1/2 tsp Mustard Seed
2 tbs For Soaking Only Salt
1-1/4 cups White Vinegar
1-1/4 cups Sugar

Thinly slice cucumbers, onions and bell pepper, mix with salt and allow to stand 2 hours. Drain and Rinse. Place remaining ingredients in a large sauce pot and bring to a boil. Add drained vegetables and return to a boil. Pack hot food into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space. Adjust caps and process pints 10 minutes in a boiling water bath.
