Dutch Coleslaw

One 3 lb shredded cabbage
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 red and 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 or 3 carrots, shredded thin

1 cup sugar
1/3 cup oil
1/3 cup vinegar
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
1 tsp celery seeds

Bring to a boil. Boil one minute. Pour over dressing while hot. Mix, let cool.
