Tangy Barbecue Sauce

3 tbs chopped onion
2 tbs butter or margarine
2 tbs granulated sugar
2 tbs vinegar
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 cup catsup
1 tsp dry mustard
Salt & pepper to taste

Melt butter or margarine in a skillet and saute onions until tender. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, until flavors blend.

Makes 1-1/2 cups of barbecue sauce.

This can be prepared in the evening for use the next day. Store in refrigerator.
