Sassy Salsa Cornbread

1-1/2 cups cornmeal
1-1/2 cups flour
6 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
One 16-ounce can whole kernel corn, drained
4 tablespoons cooking oil
1/2 cup salsa dip (medium)
1-1/2 cups milk
1 cup cheese, grated

Preheat oven to 425F. Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add all other ingredients Mix well. Put mixture into well-greased 9 x l3 inch baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot with soup, beans or vegetables, main dish.

Serves 12-16.
