Pork and Vegetable Fricassee

1 pound pork fingers cut in 1 inch cubes
Oil to cover bottom of pot
Flour in bag to shake pork in
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
1/2 pound carrots cut in 1 inch length
2 to 3 cups of water
1/2 pound of turnips cut in 1 inch cubes
Seasoning to taste
1/2 cup of green onions, chopped

Season meat and set aside. Heat oil in pot. Put flour in bag and shake pork. Drop in hot oil to brown. When brown, spoon out excess oil (not brown part). Saute onions, celery and bell pepper Until wilted, then add 2 to 3 cups of water. Add carrots. Cook for 40-50 minutes. Check to see if meat is tender. If ready, add turnips. Cook until tender. Taste to see if seasoned enough. Add to taste. Remove from heat and add green onions. Serve over hot rice.
