Cheese Squash

2 pounds yellow squash, washed and sliced
1/2 cup onion, diced
One 14-1/2 ounce can tomatoes, diced and drained
1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup bread crumbs

Preheat oven to 350F. Boil squash with onion in salted water until crisp. Drain. Add tomatoes, cheese, salt and pepper. Place in greased casserole baking dish 8 x 8 or 7 x 1l inch. Bake for 30 minutes at 350F. Cover with buttered bread crumbs before baking.

Serves 6-8.
