Preheat oven to 375F. Cook onions in butter for 5 minutes. Add broccoli, cover and cook until just barely tender. Season with salt and pepper. Grease oblong shallow dish. Place cooked spaghetti on bottom and sprinkle with half of cheese. Pour broccoli on top, and pour cream over all, top with rest of cheese. This may be made a day ahead, but do not put cheese on top until you bake. Can add shrimp or crawfish when cooking broccoli and onions for a great casserole.
