Old Fashion German Sauerkraut

1-1/2 lb pork in one piece
2 quarts water to start
1 can 16 oz sauerkraut
1 med size Irish potato

On stove top add meat to water. Boil pork until tender and let water reduce some. Add sauerkraut, simmer about 20 minutes in same broth of meat. Grate raw potato and blend in sauerkraut, stir in well. Let cook about 5 to 10 minutes on low heat. Serve with salad of choice.
