Spicy-Sweet Skillet Beans

4 slices bacon
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/3 to 1/2 cup picante sauce, as desired
2 tbs catsup
2 tbs brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cumin
Two 16 oz cans pork and beans in tomato sauce

Cook bacon in medium skillet until crisp; drain, reserving 2 tbs drippings. Cook onion in reserved drippings until tender but not brown. Crumble bacon; add to skillet with picante sauce, catsup, brown sugar and cumin. Mix well. Add beans; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered about 20 minutes or until thickened to desired consistency.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.
